Brian S. Hermann is Vice President of Freedman Benefits Group (FBG) and has been involved in the design, installation, administration and funding of retirement programs since 1988.
Mr. Hermann received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Saginaw Valley State University and his Master of Science in Taxation degree from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. He attained the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). He also is authorized to practice as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) as designated by the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Hermann is a member of ASPPA, the ASPPA Benefits Council (ABC) of Detroit, and the ASPPA Plan Administrators' Policy Alliance.
In his position as Senior Pension Specialist at the Freedman Benefits Group, Mr. Hermann is responsible for the design and administration of defined benefit plans (including cash balance plans) and defined contribution plans (money purchase, profit sharing and 401(k) plans).
