Michael W. Freedman C.P.C. is the President of Freedman Benefits Group (FBG), the innovative pension design and administration firm. In 1980, Mr. Freedman co-founded The Glass Freedman Company, and continued developing that firm, until forming Freedman Benefits Group, in 2009.
Mr. Freedman received his Business Degree from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) in the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, and has been involved in the design and administration of employee benefit programs since 1972. He is also a Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC) in the State of Michigan. Memberships include the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, the ASPPA Benefits Council of Detroit, the ASPPA Plan Administrators Policy Alliance, the Michigan Employee Benefits Conference.
Mr. Freedman is a frequent speaker to professional groups. In addition to lecturing at legal and accounting firms, he has addressed the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Accountants Guild, the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Oakland County Bar Association Employee Benefits Committee, Financial and Estate Planning Council of Metropolitan Detroit, and the Institute of Business Law of California State University, L.A. He has been on the faculty of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and has been a member of the Continuing Professional Education Faculty of Walsh College.
