Tanya Weaver joined Freedman Benefits Group as a Pension Administrator, specializing in defined contribution plans. Ms. Weaver's primary duties are the administration and compliance of qualified plans and preparation of government forms. In addition, Ms. Weaver is responsible for plan design, asset reconciliation, nondiscrimination testing and preparation of financial statements for client and government reporting.
Ms. Weaver earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. She initially began her career in restaurant management, but then launched her own pension administration practice. As a former business owner, Ms. Weaver was responsible for providing full administration and compliance services to privately held businesses. Ms. Weaver earned her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). She is authorized to practice as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) , as designated by the Internal Revenue Service. Tanya is currently pursuing her Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation.
